| Abstract: | The pace and scale of privatization in Africa is far greater than current World Bank statistics indicate. A new study by the UK-based Institute for Development Studies challenges World Bank data and comes to the conclusion that privatization in Africa is well and truly under way. Past World Bank analysis of the privatization of state-owned enterprises(SOEs) in sub-Saharan Africa has been based on very incomplete and out of date material , according to new findings. Some countries have not been included in their data set. |
