| Abstract: | The history of Estonian modern commercial banking is not long. Despite this, a decade of rapid development thereof is drawing to a close and worthy of mention. It is rewarding to look at the stretch of road the Estonian banking has passed in that time, and what the past few years, abounding in unexpected turn of events, have brought along. In the year of monetary reform in Estonia, i.e., in 1992 there were as many as 42 banks in this small country. |
