Abstract:This article analyses the coordinated decentralization in socio-economic governance, and its durability in wage bargaining especially at times when national economies are torn between internationalization and decentralization. The ways in which national state affects the behaviour of trade unions and employers' organizations, and factors, which form an effective public policy towards industrial relations, are examined. The Dutch consultation economy is used as an example to obtain answers to these questions.
