| Abstract: | Since the 1990s, there has been notable growth in interest in the travel medicine field and the intersection with tourism studies. A new feature is the way in which the interest in travel medicine has developed across the science-social science divide and now becoming one strand of a wider academic and practitioner interest in tourist well-being. This paper aims to broadly outline the evolution of this study area with some of the published influential studies along with some of the emerging research agendas. |
