Abstract:Change processes always imply uncertainty and orientational doubts, and leaders are excessively challenged by this. Often even too much may be expected of them, especially with daily business having to go on. Nonetheless, leaders particularly feel it is an enormous hurdle to acknowledge their own requirements of personal change, and to do something about it. In today's business world, usually the topic of individual behavior and attitude still is a taboo. In the authors' opinion however, the true quality of change shows exactly if and when organisations and their managers realize their own limits und look for assistance, particularly in reflecting organisational capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Thus, it is an essential task of external consultants to create and improve the sensitiveness required for this.
