| Abstract: | In this article, presented is a review of recent research on factors influencing employee innovativeness (hereafter as: inn-s.) at the workplace. Based on a literature search on 15 peer-reviewed journals published from 2000 to 2005, and other relevant materials, summarized and discussed are individual, job, team and organizational (here as: org-al.) level factors that are found to be influencing inn-s. in organizations. A relatively large part of research on individual level factors to inn-s. is found to be focused on examining the influence of person-related factors on inn-s. In conclusion, org-al. factors contributing to inn-s. are complex and often directly influenced by uncontrollable outside pressures. They are different to the factors that influence inn-s. at individual, job and team levels. |
