| Abstract: | First a theoretical model of real appreciation as a result of financial liberalization is given. Then the Singaporian and Malaysian financial and commercial policy dilemmas are described , with special reference to instruments and sterilization . The similarities and differences of the Singaporean and Malaysian experiment are highlighted. |
