| Abstract: | No linguistic or semiotic system can claim to be full without its own definition of the symbol. A symbol differs from a conventional sign in possessing pictorial elements which reflect a likeness between the content and the form of expression. A symbol is a condenser of all principles of signification, it is a mediator between the semiotic and the extrasemiotic reality and between the synchroneity of the text and the memory of culture. |
