| Abstract: | The phenomenon of the emblem is contrary to that of the pictogram. In the former and abstract content is expressed through a concrete image in the latter a concrete notion is represented through an abstract image. An emblem as an entity of the emblematic language carries only its own meaning. The expansion of literary or fine art texts into alternative ones may have paradoxical results. Any comments on emblematic meaning /like in Derzhavin's poetry/ discredit the absolute nature of emblematic relationship. |
