| Abstract: | The article is an attempt at exposing the principles interlinking differing levels and elements of the text into a whole in the "Crime and Punishment". The analysis singles out three coexisting chronotypes: the topographic, the psychological and the metaphysical. At the first level the novel is found to be homophonic, at the second it is polyphonic and on the third - heterophonic. |
