| Abstract: | Out of the political, magical and carnival blasphemies characteristic of Russian culture of the epoch mainly the latter ones were of literary status. Semiotically the appearance of carnival blasphemies can be explained by the withdrawal of bans and limitations which were characteristic of everyday life before Peter I. This also lent a more "sacral" character to some literary forms, such as odes, and altered the social status of the poet. |
