| Abstract: | The article begins with the analysis of the meanings of egg in Russian fairy tales with the aim of attempting a reconstruction of the myth about the World Egg on the basis of the Slav tradition. Further these meanings and their interpretations are compared with the meanings of the notion of egg in ancient Hindu texts. |
