| Abstract: | Asia is increasingly creating and consuming information technology. Malaysia wants to jump in the game, prime minister Mahathir Mohamad has been asking foreign support for a costly and bold project to build an Asian Silicon Valley. Malaysia will invest $15 billion to create Multimedia Super Corridor during the next decade. The project will be driven by a heavy dose of government management and funding. To succeed, Malaysia needs lots of help from world-class foreign investors. The country can hardly lose by providing infotech companies with a good working environment. |
