| Abstract: | A study enquiring whether the process of detente may lead to a growth in imports of industrial goods from Eastern Europe by the US or whether buyer attitudes are likely to inhibit this. The negative attitudes towards Eastern European manufacturing sources and experience of buying from Eastern Europe and need for manufacturers in that region to develop high profile marketing and more positive images to succeed in the US market.
