Abstract:The concepts of "institution", "rationality" or "efficiency" as well as the idea of an "over-" or "under-socialized actor, seem to have drawn a distinction between economic and sociolingual institutionalism up to now. The present paper will confine itself to these three problems and will discuss them with the aim of enlarging economic thinking through some ideas of sociological institutionalism, especially in the field of organization theory.
