Abstract:This paper reports on the results of an assessment of the health and related economic costs of poor air quality in the San Joaquin Valley of California, U.S. Furthermore, it is suggested how such assessments can support strategies in seeking pollution (here as: p-n.) reductions offering the largest near-term gains, by thoroughly modeling the associations btw. p-n. levels, demographic groups, and recognized adverse health effects.
