Tiivistelmä (eng):Conductive fibers show potential applications in different areas.
In this thesis, cellulose and its derivatives, including carboxymethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate as well as methyl cellulose were used to produce fibers via wet spinning.

Different conductive materials were also introduced in an attempt to obtain cellulose-derived conductive fibers.Different conductive fillers (Zelec, carbon black, conductive polymers) were evaluated.
Among them, PEDOT and PPy conductive polymers showed promising performance.

In the future, the production of core/shell fibers should be studied, as well as the optimization of fiber processing conditions (such as viscosity of solution, spinning speed, coagulation bath.)
