Tiivistelmä (eng): | In recent years outsourcing and software quality have become increasingly important in the IT industry. In according to conducted surveys, companies are willing to outsource as there are a lot of potential benefits, such as, cost reduction, flexibility, and access to competence. However, at the same time most of the companies who experienced outsourcing are not satisfied with the quality of delivered products. In order to gain benefits from the outsourcing, the case company in this thesis created a Supplier Management Process. The main objective of this work was to create a Supplier Testing Monitoring and Analyzing subprocess of a full-scale Supplier Management Process. The process is designed to ensure that delivered products satisfy the case company's quality requirements and to provide information about the testing efficiency of a supplier. In the thesis a Constructive Research process was selected and the following research methods were used: literature research, documentation review, analytical argumentation, interviews, and observations. The created process was fully or partially deployed to four projects. The deployment results and feedback were carefully analyzed and the process was updated accordingly. The main outputs of the current work are ready for use in the Supplier Testing Monitoring and Analyzing Process, deployment models and give recommendations for future development. |
