| Tiivistelmä (fin): | Tässä tutkimuksessa muodostettiin tutkimusongelmaan perustuva toimintamalli keskisuuren maanrakennusyrityksen ulkoisten resurssien hallinnan tehostamiseksi. Valittuna tutkimusmetodina käytettiin konstruktiivista tapaustutkimusta. Aihepiirin teoreettinen tuntemus saavutettiin kirjallisuustutkimuksessa lähestymällä tutkimusongelmaa yritysten kokonaisetua käsittelevästä näkökulmasta. Määrällisen ja laadullisen nykytilan kartoituksen avulla luotiin käytännön ymmärrys kohdeyrityksen hankintatoimen akuuteista kehityskohteista operatiivisesta ja strategisesta näkökulmasta. Tutkimusaiheesta muodostuneen syvällisen tuntemuksen perusteella kohdeyritykselle kehitettiin konstruktiona hankintojen toimintamalli, jonka toteuttamisella on mahdollista saavuttaa merkittäviä etuja verrattuna nykytilassa toteutettavaan toimintaan. Lisäksi tutkimuksessa esitettävät operatiivisten hankinnan osa-alueiden kehitysehdotukset täydentävät toimintamallia ja niiden avulla on mahdollista tehostaa hankintatoimen toteutusta kohdeyrityksessä. Tutkimuksen keskeisin tulos, eli konstruktio hankintatoimen yritystason toimintamallista, huomioi kohdeyrityksen liiketoimintaympäristön ja liiketoimintastrategian asettamat vaatimukset hankintojen toteuttamiselle. Lisäksi sen kehittämisessä painotettiin hankinnan asemaa tukitoimintona rakennustuotannon rinnalla niin, että siitä pystytään kehittämään kohdeyrityksen ydinliiketoimintaa kokonaisvaltaisesti tukeva ja jatkuva iterointiprosessi. Tuloksia tulkittaessa on huomioitava tutkimusongelman muodostamat rajoitteet. Keskeisimmät rajoitteet ovat kohdeyrityksen toimiala sekä projektiliiketoiminta. Lisäksi tutkimuksessa käsitellään ainutkertaista tapausta ainutkertaisessa ympäristössä. |
| Tiivistelmä (eng): | In this Thesis, an operations model for Purchasing (specified as External Resource Management) is developed for a medium-sized earth construction company. The chosen research method is a constructive case-study. The theoretical understanding of the topic was achieved by literature study where the research problem was approached from the aspect of companies' advantage. Qualitative and quantitative present state analyses were conducted in order to gain practical understanding of major development targets on both operational and strategic levels of the target company. Based on the in-depth knowledge of the topic, a construction of purchasing operations model was developed for the target company. The constructed model introduces significant advantages compared to the present state of the company's operations. Moreover, this study presents operational level development proposals that support the target company's purchasing process. The most essential result of this study, the developed construction of purchasing operations model, acknowledges certain demands that the business strategy and environment impose for the execution of purchasing. Furthermore, in development of the model purchasing was emphasized as being supportive function beside construction processes. Hence, purchasing can be developed into a comprehensive and iterative process, which supports the target company's core business activities. In the case of further interpreting the results of this study, the following restrictions require consideration. The target company operates in earth construction industry and the business is project based by nature. Moreover, this study focuses on an individual organization in a unique environment. |
