| Tiivistelmä: | At present, environmental problems are popular, they bring together a real concern with nature and an ability to use freshly developed techniques of multi-criteria decision-making. The essential distinction between environmental planning and other forms of corporate, social and economic planning is that the decision-making and analysis is largely secretive, and is carried out by elite groups. These groups often find it difficult to talk to each other and are largely divorced from the general public in attitude, background and social status. The inevitable ethical and moral dilemmas which result are discussed. |
