| Tiivistelmä: | A three country general equilibrium framework is used in the paper to analyse the welfare effect of alternative allocation schemes. The paper focuses on welfare comparison of global quota and VER schemes. It is shown that a free trade market-share quota allocation scheme dominates a tariff-equivalent quota allocation scheme. The comparative welfare effects of various allocation schemes of quotas and equivalent VERs among exporting countries are shown in the table. |
