Tiivistelmä:As Americans come to expect the products they buy to be environmentally friendly, companies must fundamentally amend their cost-benefit calculations. Rapidly changing consumer behaviour and the greater priority accorded environmental protection have presented corporate management with new reasons for taking the initiative. Accomplishment to date illustrate the potential that constructive industry-government dialogue can have for producing reasoned and pragmatic governmental decision skills management succession managers work ethics At a time when turnover rates are high and the lack of good workers is causing business hardships, it seems reasonable to look at individuals within some negatively perceived groups - individuals who may interview poorly and have little to offer by way of concrete evidence as to their employability - as viable choices for employment. Assessment center techniques may offer a method of differentiating among applicants, not only concerning whether or not they have a strong positive work ethic and can therefore be counted upon to hold down a job reliably, but also in terms of higher-level skills they may have gained outside the workforce - skills that may well make them valuable management candidates.
