This unit has entered into a new arena, avoiding the pitfalls that have caused many would-be competitors to stumble while forging entirely new ways of doing business in the industry. Its strategy focuses on (1) being brand-specific rather than focusing on an entire retail line; (2) having a consumer focus rather than a retailer focus; (3) favoring lean staffing over heavy resources of personnel.
