| Tiivistelmä: | An ever increasing number of companies in the Federal Republic of Germany are starting to have their products and where installed, their quality systems, are audited and certified by neutral third parties. It appears that many of the economic gains hoped for remain below the expected level. The authors present the real value of certification of product- and quality systems. This is demonstrated using the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court in product liability cases as well as various empirical investigations and studies of the "Quality and Law" working group. |
