| Tiivistelmä: | The article offers a semantic analysis of folk riddles based on the lexeme 'home' in order to arrive at some conclusions concerning the notion of the world model. Semantic links between the various elements of riddles are conducive to a system of images of the world model only if the corpus of riddles is perceived as a whole text. This allows to discover an extremely economic way of presentation in folk riddles of the idea of the universe as a home which in itself is an aesthetic value. |
