Tiivistelmä:As companies downsize, restructive and streamline their operations in the 1990's, the corporate pyramid is becoming smaller at the top. As a result , excellent managers, kwho just happen to be baby boomers, are routinely finding themselves being squeezed out of promotional opportunities and therefore are leaving in record numbers. Companies now are finding that the way to hold on to these experienced and valuable employees is to providde them with promotions outside the classic corporate structure or to decentralize decision making and empower employees.
