| Tiivistelmä: | In CAD drawing is automated and/or the shapes of parts and products are described using a computer. In CAE the product performance is evaluated at the design stage by structural analysis methods. In CAM decisions of manufacturing methods and processes are automated with the aid of computers. Recently, recognition has been given to the integration of these fields for 'complete design automation'. The CAD/CAM integration method brings optimal product designs, and results in smooth flow of design information from design process to manufacturing process. |
