| Tiivistelmä: | The paper describes the managerial behaviour of two owner managers in the construction industry. Data was collected by shadowing the managers to create a picture of what they did and how they spent their time. Personal profiles of the two managers are given, and these are linked to their leadership styles. The study compares the managerial behaviour of managers in construction with earlier studies in other industries. The outcome emphasizes the importance of intuitive judgment as the predominant instrument of owner - manager behaviour. |
