| Tiivistelmä: | In 1993, the total trade volume between China and Central Asia's five countries reached $ 0.6 billion, up 31% over last year. During the rule of Soviet Union, Central Asia was only the raw material-supplying base. The disintegration of Soviet Union created a favorable condition for China to enter into the market of Central Asia. The bilateral trade has great potential and therefore the market of Central Asia should be developed actively. |
