| Tiivistelmä: | Between 1992 and 1994 consultancy firms carried out over a dozen donor-funded sectoral restructuring studies in Romania. The beneficiary institutions were primarily the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Agriculture. The sectors diagnosed were food processing, agricultural machinery, food-processing equipment, textiles, wood-based industries, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, motor vehicles, steel and some others. This article draws on findings from these sectoral studies and summarises recommended restructuring strategies for both heavy industries and light industries. |
