Tiivistelmä:Starting a business does not require huge sums of money. In fact most of the 100 fast growing private companies have been financed with personal savings, credit cards, and second mortgages. The author argues that entrepreneurs should spend less time raising money and more time learning to run a business without it. Following the basic principles for successful start-ups: get operational fast, look for quick break-even, cash generating projects, offer high value products or services that can sustain direct personal selling, do not try to hire the crack team, keep growth in check, focus on cash, and cultivate banks early.
