| Tiivistelmä: | With competitive pressures and uncertain markets continuing to fuel employers' search for lower costs and more flexible operations, increased attention is being paid to the potential flexibility available from variable working time arrangement. Employers have traditionally sought working time flexibility through practices such as overtime and short-time working. However , the past decade has seen a growing emphasis in many industrial countries on securing working time flexibility by other means than through (premium paid) overtime. |
