| Tiivistelmä: | Agricultural development from the 1980s onward has brought many changes in rural Asia, which is characterised by diversification of agriculture. The research on Indonesia alone has intensively studied not only rice, but cassava, maize, loybeans, and vegetables as well. Maize in Indonesia has developed remarkably since the 1980s, due in large to the development of the feed industry serving a growing poultry farming industry. This development has brought about substantial changes in maize marketing. |
