| Tiivistelmä: | The per capita share of water resources of the Chinese is 2700 cubic metre, a quarter of the world per capita, making China one of the countries with the minimum per capita share of water. The paper offers some countermeasures for the water crisis: (1) propaganda and legislation are to be strengthened to enhance people's awareness of water shortage, (2) the construction of irrigation works should be boosted, (3) practical and effective measures are to be taken to save and protect water, (4) the structure of distribution of water supply and industrial structures should be adjusted, (5) importance should be attached to water-saving in industries and protection of water body from pollution. |
