| Tiivistelmä: | In a survey of CEO's, data on planning, organizing, and controlling activities as well as entrepreneurial orientation and environmental turbulence were used in the development of a taxonomy. Findings demonstrate that small firms can be classified based on perceived differences in strategy, structure, and the environment, and display managerial and structural consistency when faced with similar situations. The taxonomy suggests that distinct configurations describe the managerial profiles among small firms. Each profile is discussed and managerial and research implications elaborated. |
