Tiivistelmä:The multinational corporation, today an even greater force in the world than it was 30 years ago when the first concerted criticism of corporate power emerged in western countries, is in moral crisis. The behavior of Shell in Nigeria - right up to its announcement almost immediately after the execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa that it is to go ahead with a new natural gas project there - is the case that proves the point. Shell's failure to deal with the consequences of its decisions in Ogonaliland is one example of a widespread abdication of responsibility by big corporations.
