| Tiivistelmä: | McKersie and McKersie have noted that taking steps that effectively prevent plant closure and related job loss is better than treating the unemployment that follows plant closure. many reasons for plant closure or relocation can be identified but research has shown that a poor labor-management relations climate within a plant may be particularly significant in some cases. Two studies by the author have provided additional evidence the labor-management relations climate is an important element affecting performance. |
