| Tiivistelmä: | According to the newest statistics, China has 8651 enterprises and institutions, involved in environmental protection. The enterprises are mainly the small-sized ones, distributed in the coastal area. In comparison, the environment protection industries develop slowly in the northwest and southwest. China's present product mix in this line focuses on the facilities for brining air and water pollution under control. In 1993 for instance, the sales volume of products related to environmental protection totaled 10.4 billion yuan. Among it, that of the facilities for controlling air and water pollution accounted for 43.5% and 36.6% respectively such a structure will not change much in the 5-10 years to come. |
