| Tiivistelmä: | By the year 2000, the per capita income of urban residents for living expenses is expected to reach 7830 yuan, approx. US$ 935. During the Ninth five-year Plan period, the housing demand of residents will increase continuously and so the prospects for the housing industry will be good. However, the necessary policies need to be formulated correspondingly. According to the preliminary estimate, the housing industry will develop faster than during the Eighth five-year Plan period. The floor space of building will increase greatly. The proportion of urban inhabitants' consumption expenditure for housing will increase by a large margin, too. The per capita living space is expected to be improved, to a certain extent, thus promoting the development of related industries. |
