| Tiivistelmä: | In 1995, the growth rate investment in fixed assets in the eastern, central and western areas were 17.5%, 20.7% and 21.7% respectively compared with last years'. From Jan. to Aug., 1996 they were 21.8%, 21.2% and 23.7% respectively. The proportion of investment in the eastern area in the whole country's investment fell to 60.9% while those in the central and western areas rose to 21.6% and 12.4% respectively. In 1997, as the advanced eastern area is still in the period of adjusting industrial structure, and updating and upgrading, a large amount of funds are needed and so investment will continue to keep a rapid growth. However, the additional great amount of funds are also needed urgently in the development of energy and minerals in the central and western areas. The independently raised funds and foreign investment will the main source of funds. |
