Tiivistelmä: | This article addresses the establishment processes of Swedish firms in Kenya, in a network context. The emphasis is placed on the main conditions and problems that the establishing firms face, and how they deal with them. The model developed for the study consists of four variables, i.e., historical process, focal relationships, supporting relationships and general environment. The main result of the study implies, for successful establishment, the necessity of developing a network of supporting relationships which are usually lacking in the local market. |
