| Tiivistelmä: | At present, China's policy-oriented agricultural bank incurs serious financial risks, which is mainly manifest as following: 1. large amount and high proportion of harmful loans presenting the rising trend which has not been controlled effectively. For instance, their proportions in the total loans were 20% at the end of 1995, 26% at the end of 1996 and reached 27% at the end of Feb. this year. 2. the existing serious phenomena that the policy credit funds of agricultural bank are diverted to other purpose. 3. bank's claim's suffering losses due to the fact that bankruptcy an merger of enterprises are conducted in an abnormal way. 4. heavy losses in finance, which presents an upward trend. They were 9.197 billion yuan in 1995, 8.954 billion yuan in 1996 and will be expected to reach 16 billion yuan or so in 1997. |
