| Tiivistelmä: | Economic links between the European Union (EU) and the Central and East European (CEE) countries have been strengthening in the 1990s. This applies to trade and to foreign direct investment (FDI). Some progress toward reciprocal economic penetration between the two European areas has been made. Few people would have thought this possible at the beginning of the 1990s, although there had been some optimism just after the fall of the Berlin Wall. |
