Tiivistelmä:This paper considers strategically the function of marketing of databases in enterprises' business operation at an angle of policy-makers of enterprises. It thinks that the marketing of databases includes three steps, that is, setting up, maintaining and using data bases. Marketing databases is a more ideal form for materializing modern marketing concept. It can help marketing units to identify the demand of target customers more accurately and to find new market chances and gather information on new products and new services. In addition, it can raise the efficiency of serving the final consumers. The marketing of databases is being evolved into database consuming in Internet and has become more and more important.
