| Tiivistelmä: | The promotion of regionalism in fisheries research and development should be seen as a desirable goal in West Africa if the countries in the sub-region are to derive maximum benefits from the fisheries resources owned by them. Joint ventures would be a concrete manifestation of cooperation and unity. The regionalization of fisheries research should promote scientific excellence and credibility. |
