Tiivistelmä:This paper analyses the effects of public subsidies for women entrepreneurs in Germany. Government programs for women entrepreneurs primarily aim to eliminate obstacles in the creation and development of firms by women. The results of the empirical entrepreneurial research are linked to an analysis of the decision making process of potential women entrepreneurs. It is shown that government programs for women entrepreneurs do not significantly alter their opportunity set and therefore the decision basis of the relevant target group. Particularly these programs do not motivate (potential) entrepreneurs to invest in new businesses (original in German).
