| Tiivistelmä: | The object of this paper is to provide a rationale for changing trends in the flow and determinants of foreign direct investment (FDI) as a result of macro-economic and company strategy considerations. Several factors that have an impact on such trends are identified and propositions that could explain the phenomenon generically are developed. Then preliminary empirical support for the propositions is supported and the path for future research is outlined. |
