| Tiivistelmä: | This article studies the role of fiscal policy in mitigating the risk of business cycle fluctuations transmitted among trade partners by developing a two country general equilibrium model. The authors show that there is a welfare case for an active stabilization policy, and that it is larger in the presence of inflexible wages. |
