Tiivistelmä:This paper's aim is to discuss some criteria to distinguish btw. top vs. leading journals in marketing. Dealt with are three groups of criteria, that is, journal, article, and research. Each is discussed based on a set of dimensions, e.g. journal criteria - the editor, the editorial (here as: edr-al.) board, the edr-al. objective etc... article criteria - research implication etc... research criteria - process, paradigm, representation, readership and contribution. While the top journals in marketing are named, the analysis is meant to be of a more general rather than to question a specific journal. There is an underlying quest for identifying and verifying the top academic journals in different research disciplines. In addition, to the discussion on top vs. non-top journals, there is another crucial issue raised, namely criteria to differentiate btw. top and leading journals in marketing.
