Tiivistelmä:The participating management at Honywell's Systems and Research Center (SRC) is examined. It is a procedure, where team members are directly involved in the hiring decision and thus bear greater responsibility for its results. Recognizing their accountability they are likely to approach the task with greater interest and seriousness than if they were merely consulted occasionally. To bring the procedure life and shed some light on both its virtues and its pitfalls, it is related how SRC's Center Management Team actually went about the task of choosing a new director of business and development.
